Need

There are workers in the health care sector with little or no qualification. This project aims to bring in a method that ties together health care sector colleges and institutions for the sake of better and higher quality, educated and motivated work force.

The general objective of the project is to enhance the the attractiveness of vocational education and training and mobility for employers and individuals to facilitate the mobility of working trainees.

Objectives

The objectives are to enhance the quality of the work force in health care and to make the profession more attractive and also to motivate people to lifelong learning.

The operational objectives are to improve the quality and to increase the volume of co-operation between institutions or organizations providing learning opportunities, enterprises, social partners and other relevant bodies throughout Europe; to facilititate the development of innovative practices in the field of vocational education and training other than at tertiary level, and their transfer, including from one participating country to others; to improve the transparency and recognition of qualifications and competences, including those acquired through non-formal and informal learning. 

Target groups

The target groups are people already working in the health care sector without a diploma, people interested in retraining, new graduates, adults, unemployed people and people, who are in threat of being unemployed.

The primary interest groups are colleges offering health care education and the employers in the ehalth care sector.

Impact

The short-term impact is the  growth of motivation for studying, especially in the health care sector.

The long-term impacts are the growth of skilled and professional care workers in health care institutions.
